ProjectTrack Collaborative Edition

Upgrading ProjectTrack - Collaborative Edition

Before you start working with your new version/release of ProjectTrack you need to upgrade the database

To upgrade the database, follow these steps:

If you installed the administrator files, go to the Start button, go to Programs and find the folder iLore ProjectTrack . Under this folder there is a program called Upgrade Database. Click on it

Once the program starts, select the language you want to use (Currently you cannot select Spanish.)

Before moving ahead, make sure all the users are logged out of the program. The wizard cannot upgrade the database while people are using it.

You should also make a backup copy of the database, before doing the upgrade.

If you select NO, the wizard will give you the following information. Clicking Finish will terminate the program. Obviously you need to tell the wizard that you have made a copy of the database before moving ahead.

If you selected YES the wizard will ask you for the location of the data files.

After pressing Next, the wizard will start with the upgrade.

Any errors encountered during the process will be displayed, along with information that will help you fix the problems.

If everything goes well, you will see the screen below.

Click OK and follow the instructions on the screen to set up the rest of the workstations.
